Types of IP Address

There are two types of IP addresses.

• Public IP address

• Private IP address

The global public IP address scope is used outside the network. It is assigned to computer devices for direct access to the internet. Any web server, email server, or other server directly accessible online has a public IP address. It is unique and can only be assigned to individual devices.
